If you have visited Valley Urological Associates recently perhaps you have had the opportunity to meet Dr. Ash Kshirsagar. Dr. Kshirsagar (who goes by “Dr. K”), joined Valley Urological Associates in the fall and, along with his interest in general urological care, brings special expertise in the field of minimally invasive surgery (robotics and laparoscopy ) as well as male infertility. Dr. K will be seeing patients at all three of the practice’s locations: Sewickley, Kennedy Township, and the newest office in Beaver County.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. K to our practice,” said Valley Urological Associates founder and managing partner Robert Doebler, M.D. “He brings excellent experience in general Urology care, and his expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques, like laparoscopy and high-magnification microscopes, lasers, and other modalities, will be a complement to the considerable experience we have in this area.”

Dr. Kshirsagar most recently practiced in Virginia. He was a winner of the prestigious Patient’s Choice Award and consistently named as one of Northern Virginia’s “Top Doctors.” He has given talks nationally and internationally in urology, and has been an international moderator for infertility conferences.

“I’m glad to be a part of Valley Urological Associates,” said Dr. Kshirsagar. “I enjoy practicing on the front lines of urology and the opportunity to help patients with a wide range of problems. Every day I see patients who are experiencing what might be considered more common urological issues, such as BPH symptoms or overactive bladder, as well as problems that, fortunately, are less frequent, such as certain types of cancers. I’m particularly interested in the advantages that new surgical technologies, such as high-magnification microscopes, lasers, laparoscopy or robotic surgery modalities bring in helping us pinpoint problems and avoid damage to surrounding tissue.”
